QUALITY
The control of material composition determines the quality of cast iron products.
The founder of Kasakura Metec, based on the furnace-side chill tests used at the time, applied scientific analysis of cooling curves during the solidification process of molten metal.
Focusing especially on the values of T, C, and Si, which form the foundation of cast iron properties, he developed methods to quickly measure the CE value (Carbon Equivalent), quantify it, and estimate material strength.
Driven by this passion for stable operations, he pioneered the joint development of composition measuring instruments with manufacturers ahead of other companies.
This brought a major transformation to the casting industry.
