Founder Kasakura Yasuji performs the first melting in Yodobashi, Tokyo. Initial use of the “koshiki” furnace.

1927

The second president Kasakura Kenzō establishes Kasakura Foundry in Kawaguchi.

1933

First factory expansion.

1938

Second expansion. Focus on equipment, production growth, and workforce development.

1940

Tōa Seiki Co. founded, aiming at integrated machine tools.

1945

President Kenzō Kasakura dies suddenly; management temporarily entrusted to Kōsaku Kasakura.

1948

Kasakura Hisanori becomes company head.

1950

Reorganized as corporation; Hisanori appointed CEO.

1978

Introduction of the furan self-hardening process.

1981

Certified as licensed plant by Meehanite Co. (USA).

1985

Official announcement of Ibaraki factory relocation plan.

1986

Operations begin at relocated Ibaraki factory.

1990

Kasakura Hironobu becomes president.

1991

Chairman Hisanori Kasakura passes away.

1994

Introduction of optical emission spectrometer and universal testing machine.

1998

Kasakura Tsune becomes president; 20-ton batch annealing furnace introduced.

2003

Establishment of Tianjin Kasakura Foundry Co., Ltd. (China).

2005

Full-scale operations begin at China plant.

2008

ISO 9001:2000 certification acquired.

2018

Jun Horiguchi becomes president.

2020

Introduction of two 2-ton induction furnaces and new spectrometer.

Introduction of ultrasonic flaw detector.
